The River: Threads

The River consists of:

News Threads - all the latest financial news from the UK's press; you can customise which news sources you view via My Tributaries

Public Threads - which are conversations between timetotrade members which are visible to ALL timetotrade members.

Private Threads - which are your own private trading journal or research posts visible ONLY to you. If you are a member of an investment club then your Private Threads will be visible to ALL your fellow club members. If you are a member of an investment club but also have your own personal timetotrade account, then any Private Threads you create whilst in your personal account will be visible to you alone and not your fellow club members.

Any timetotrade member can start up a new Private or Public Thread topic.

You might create a Public Thread to start a discussion with other timetotrade members' on eg a particular stock, sector or investment strategy. ANY other timetotrade user can then post comments on that thread, and each thread grows as more individual comments are added by different users.

On the otherhand, if you wish to keep a private trading journal for yourself with your own personal research that you do not wish to be in the public domain; or you are in an investment club and want to discuss a topic privately amongst your club members only, then you need to create a Private Thread.
