The stock market can seem like a daunting place, but you don’t need to go it alone.  Get together with your friends, neighbours or colleagues and form an Investment Club instead. 

Investment Clubs are a great way to learn about investing, providing a supportive environment where you can build up your knowledge, share ideas and discuss research and strategies with like-minded people.   Club members pool a small amount of money each month and meet regularly to swap opinions and ideas, discuss possible investments, and then make democratic decisions about the club’s portfolio. You don’t need to have any experience of stock-picking or to understand the ins and outs of the City. All you need are a group of like-minded friends with a commitment to learn together.

Our Investment Club evening is FREE to attend if you book in advance (otherwise it’s £25 on the door).  We will have presentations from members of some of the UK’s most successful clubs followed by a drinks reception and investment club exhibition where club members will be on hand to answer all your questions.

How to Set Up an Investment Club? - Michael Carstens (Vine Investment Club)
Setting up your own club is easy.  This session provides a step by step guide on how to set up your own successful investment club.

7.30pm Drinks reception and investment club exhibition
Meet and quiz members of existing investment clubs, learn how to set up your own club or find an existing investment club to join and share ideas and exchange tips and strategies.

I’m going to speaking at 2pm in room EF - discussing ways to reduce your Capital Gains Tax bill and the impact of share reorganisations like Rights Issues and Open Offers on your tax bill. We will also be running an investment club clinic afterwards to help with any accounting questions in preparing your club’s tax returns.
